We had lots of different farm animals visit the Nursery. There were ducks, sheep, goats, a pony and many others. The children really enjoyed getting close to the animals, petting and stroking them.
"It feels soft"- Lucas
The children were fascinated by the sheep's wooly coat who was due to have its coat sheared the next day.
The children enjoyed making the different noises of the animals.
"Cluck cluck" (chicken)
Nursery have been singing the number rhyme, '10 Green Bottles' this week. They have enjoyed acting out the rhyme and using props to help consolidate their learning.
Five green bottles
Hanging on the wall
Five green bottles
Hanging on the wall
And if one green bottle
Should accidentally fall
There'll be four green bottles
Hanging on the wall
Four green bottles...
Three green bottles...
Two green bottle...
One green bottle
Hanging on the wall
One green bottle
Hanging on the wall
And if one green bottle
Should accidentally fall
There'll be no green bottles
Hanging on the wall
Nusery have been learning about 'Growing'. They have been to Homebase to buy seeds and have planted them. Now they are looking at the changes that are happening and are enjoying watching the plants grow taller. They listened to the story of Jasper's Beanstalk to learn how to plant a seed and have also been role-playing Jack and the beanstalk.
The nursery children have been getting busy learning about 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. They have been acting out the story, making puppets and masks, and made some porridge.
The children have been practising their Christmas songs in the lead up to our special performances in the last week of term. Below are some videos of two of our favourite songs, with lyrics, so you can practise together at home!
The nursery made an incredible Diwali display. It was alot of fun. Everyone decorated a hand with glitter and they stuck them all together and this is what they created!
